For music publishers

Your whole catalogue, ready to practise.

Prima Vista turns a choral piece into something every singer can practise at home: their own part, at their own pace. The parts are played straight from the score file, so no title needs recording.

Licence · Example Choir, 40 singers

Your edition, in your colours, opened on an alto's phone with the alto part marked. Publisher and choir are placeholders.
No recording per title
The parts play from the score file.
A licence per singer
The choir pays for every member who practises.
Bought without an app store
Purchases happen on the web, without Apple's and Google's fee.

Bought in the afternoon, practised that evening.

The choir buys the work in the app. It goes straight into the choir's programme, and every member opens it on their own part. It is the same path choirs already take with the works in our free library. What is added is the price and the licence.

  1. The choir buys the licence

A seat per singer, for a concert or a year, paid on the web.

  2. The work goes into the programme

In the order the choir sings it, with every right stated.

  3. Every singer practises their part

The same evening, on their phone, at their own pace.

How we see the partnership

The shop is not built yet. We want to build it with the first publishers, so that it is something you can trust from the start. This is what we propose.

Choir licence

priced per singer

Example Choir

40 seats, ten in each part · until the spring concert A new tenor takes the seat when someone leaves.
Practice without recordingthe whole catalogue
The parts are played from the score file (MusicXML), on piano, organ or synthetic voices singing the words. A work can be practised as soon as the file exists, with no studio and no singers.
A licence per singerthe choir pays
The choir buys one seat per member, for a concert or a year. When someone leaves, the seat passes to the next singer. You are paid for every singer practising your work.
Rights on every workvisible in the app
Composer, lyricist, arranger, translator, publisher and edition travel with every score. A licensed work is visible only to the choir that bought it.
No app store in betweenmore for you
Prima Vista is a web app. Purchases happen on the web, without the 15–30 per cent Apple and Google take, and that margin can be shared with the publisher.
Reportsper work and choir
You see which choirs hold a licence for your works and how many singers the licences cover.
From paper to filefor printed works
If you have works that exist only in print, we read them into MusicXML for you and check them part by part.

Where we are today

The app is in use, with free music and with choirs' own scores. A few choirs use it during a trial period, with programmes, notes on the bar and sung parts. The shop and the licences are the next step.

98

free works

From Victoria to Nordqvist, each with its creators and source stated, in a library choirs add to their programmes with one click.

238

movements with sung parts

Every movement in the free library can be played with synthetic voices that sing the words.

Rights in order

A privacy policy, terms of use and a procedure for reporting material that should not be in the app (in Swedish).

Protected works should come in through agreements with you, not around you.

The library holds only works whose composer, lyricist, arranger and translator died more than 70 years ago.

When a choir adds its own music, it promises in the terms that it has the right to do so. A choir's music is visible only to its members, and a report of infringement leads to the material being removed.

Would you like to be in from the start?

We are looking for one or two publishers to build the shop with. Write to us and we will show you how one of your works could look in the app.
